DDGS


DDGS is a co-product of the ethanol production process. It is a nutrient feed utilized to the livestock. When ethanol is extracted from corn and sorghum grains it is used only the starch contents; the remainder is a nutrient containing fiber, oil and protein what turn it to be a byproduct named as DDGS (Dried Distillers Grains with Solubles), produced in pellets or mash.

Use of this product provides several benefits

  • 30% of concentrate whey;
  • dry yeasts which is rich in vitamin B;
  • high percentage of methionine;
  • low cost compared to others protein sources;
  • excellent palatability for animals.
