Inpasa develops and supports technical studies conducted by leading institutions such as ESALQ/USP and UFLA. The research confirms improved performance in beef cattle, higher carcass weight, greater energy efficiency of diets, and increased milk yield and milk solids in lactating cows.
Energy efficiency and carcass gain in beef cattle
A study conducted at ESALQ/USP, in collaboration with Prof. Dr. Flavio Portela Santos, evaluated the use of FortiPro Inpasa in diets for Nellore cattle in the finishing phase.
FortiPro Inpasa inclusion levels of 0, 10, 20, 30 and 40% of dry matter were evaluated, fully replacing whole cottonseed and partially replacing ground flint corn and citrus pulp.
The results were consistent and significant:
- For every 10% inclusion of FortiPro Inpasa, an average increase of 2.62 kg in hot carcass weight was observed.
- Diets with up to 40% inclusion showed higher net energy, which translated into better performance of finishing animals.
In practice, this means greater feed efficiency, better energy utilization and higher productive returns.
Higher yield and more milk solids in lactating cows
To evaluate the performance of FortiPro Inpasa in dairy systems, an experiment was carried out in collaboration with Dr. Marcos Neves Pereira, of the Federal University of Lavras (UFLA).
The study analyzed the replacement of soybean meal and soybean hulls with increasing levels of FortiPro Inpasa (0, 5, 10 and 15% of dry matter) in the diet of lactating cows.
The results showed that:
- The inclusion of FortiPro Inpasa increased milk yield.
- An increase in milk solids production was also recorded, a direct indicator of quality and profitability for the producer.
